Dr. Revital Shurtz-Swirski was born in Tel Aviv.
Shurtz-Swirski was infected by Poliovirus at the age of 1 and has been a wheelchair user since then.
Shurtz-Swirski attained a PhD in microbiology & worked for 36 years in medical research.
Currently, Shurtz-Swirski serves as the head of Access Israel North, vice-mayor and council member in her town Kiryat-Bialik.
Shurtz-Swirkski is a mother of 2 sons, and grandmother of a boy and a girl.
